26th

I'm really tired this morning for a number of reason.

The group, me Ricardo, Fernando, the two girls camped by us and the three girls from São Paulo, feels really close and comfortable. We shared lots of love yesterday dancing for hours in the streets, loosing each other and remarkably finding each other again countless times.

It's very unlikely to happen, but never let it be siad that Brasilians don't know how to party. It seems like everyone can sing and sense rythmn and everyone knows the same songs / chants.

In the afternoon, marching into town, as the crowd thickened a drum or a loud/animated group or a whistle or horn would be all it took ot trigger the surrounding crowd to burst into song and dance.

It's like Mayday or June 18th in London might be if it was left alone by police and supported by the shops and had more history and directly related traditions.

One decorated float soon became the centre of attention with everyone gathering behind it demanding action - singing, chanting and dancing until it came to life with lots of trumpeters, saxaphonists, singers and MCs dressed crazyly in bright colours and silver.

The atmosphere was somthing like Cliff Richard's Summer Holiday with modern day customs of drinking, expression and excitement, all surrounded my bright hawain style colours. Fun for all the family, yet full of young boys and girls celebrating their freedom from work, from oppression and from shame.

Mmmm, I love it and we get to do it again today.
