Tuesday Lunch Time - 10th July 2007

Wow! I'm 25 today. A quarter of a century as my Dad put it, which sounds nice. Sounds like I've got a lot more to do.

I'm writing this one not from my diary but from the heart... (awww...) and to the Blog, which is now viewable by invited friends and family only. So I'm talking to you guys [and you can talk back via the 'comments'].

Anyway, today as I'm celebrating my life and looking at what I've acheived I'm so happy to show you what one of my best, most loved friends in the whole World has acheived. Take a look.

You might recognise the actress and musician at the heart of it. I'm amazed, I can't help remember how happy I was when Bex turned down deals from the likes of Sony and resolved to do her own thing, her words, her talent, her expression.

Matt is the other part of the band, Speak to Louis. You can find out more about the band on the Rebeca Music space. If You Like It - Promote It.

Add them to you're 'friends' if you have a MySpace profile. Link to the video. Email people about it.

Sun. 8/7/07

A nasty stomach bug and some melodramatic worrying behind me I came into work on Saturday and got a lot done. That night a girl I've been seeing, Lua, invited me to a gathering at her friends. A bunch of rockabillies getting drunk and high on the top of an apartment block in the luxiourious Jardins.

Today I'm in the office too, taking a day off to work on some art, listen to some music and write up things like this.

Saturday Morning 7/7/07

I went to bed wrought with worry, thinking about how when I go back to England I'll have nothing. I woke having the most fantastic dream. Back home Rich, with everyone's support was busy working on a film set, very intricate and impressive, amazing. A lovely detailed, colourful dream. At the end I was with his Dad on the capirinha arm of things, watching him try and try again to make basins full of capirinha. At the point of waking. I realised I could show him what I knew of capirinha and really help out.

Friday 6/7/07

Just Now I was thinking about my life and where I'm at.

This challenge I've set myself to travel from Rio to New Oleans via the Amazon (mouth to mountain) seems like it could be a little difficult.

May be I've been seeing it that way for a little while now. I can't help but think a lot of people will have always seen it that way.

I've got a kind of "What the fuck am I doing?" expression on my face I imagine.

Anyway it was an optimistic dreamer that set out on this journey. I guess the thing to do is wake-up and get a move on.

I said to Tati today that I know there are a lot better places to play than in São Paulo - so this is no place to play. May be I'll need money on my journey, may be I won't, either way that's what I'm here to do in São Paulo so I should quit stalling and make some.

Tati and Ricardo are two people I can really have fun with and open up to. It's amazing how hard it is to overcome that attraction. Fabio is ace too.

20h00 Sun. 1st July

There's a guy living where I'm living who said living here is inspiration for a book he'll write.

In front of me, across the main road, is China's lunchonette, another lunchonette, a mini-market, some homelesses sat amongst rubbish bags, some peeps drinking, the incomprehensible rant of the 'Church' MC, a few peeps drinking, buses passing and a load of shut shop fronts. Behind me, a square wherea few homelesses are settling down for the cold night. To my right a policeman stands on the pavement by his vehcile, lights flashing. He's been there for a while. And to my left, a magnificant Victorian-like building (possibly a concert house) stands well lite on the other side of the street where people don't tend to walk. There's always a police presence there.

I've been a little unwell this week and in heinsight undisciplined. An early night at home in my home doesn't have the same appeal as going out to see people or meet people or draw.
